Kohama Island Mangrove Tour

The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed kayaking slowly through the lush mangrove forests. The instructors were kind and helpful, so we didn't have to worry about operating the kayaks. The children and I learned a lot of interesting things about mangroves.

Relaxing kayaking among the mangroves. It was a time to forget the hustle and bustle of the city and be healed by nature. The instructor gave interesting explanations about plants and creatures, which was enjoyable for adults as well.

I joined the tour with my kindergartener son. The kayak was easy to operate and the guide was always looking out for us. My child was very interested in the mysterious scenery of the mangroves, and it was a good learning experience.

I had always wanted to try SUP, and finally tried it for the first time on Kohama Island! It was a short 60-minute course, so even I, who am not confident in my physical strength, was able to participate without any worries. It was too luxurious to paddle not only in the ocean but also in the mangrove.... The guide took us to the best spots of the day according to the sea conditions, so the wind was calm and it was really comfortable.

The mangrove kayak tour on Kohama Island was a really fun experience! The guide was very kind and even though I am a beginner in kayaking, I was able to enjoy the tour with ease. It was especially unique to go through the mangrove trees, and I was impressed by the scenery that I usually don't see.

Unfortunately, we kayaked in the rain, but that was a good memory! It's not easy to take the course you want, but it was a lot of fun! The guide told us about the island, carefully explained how to paddle the kayak, talked about the mangroves, and even lent us a kappa to use until we got from the hotel to the ocean. We probably would not have gotten so wet if it had been sunny, but it was raining and even though we were wearing a kappa, we got well wet. I would like to join the tour on a sunny day next time!
