I was eagerly preparing my marine shoes, but as soon as we started, I was surprised to hear, "I'm going barefoot! I was surprised! At first, my mother and I thought it was a lie that we would be walking barefoot in the black mud, but walking barefoot felt great and was a lot of fun. The guide told us many stories about various creatures and mangroves, and we had a lot of fun learning about them! It was a valuable experience for me to feel the great nature! We were also able to take a lot of pictures. I would like to participate again!

540代Submitted Month: 2024/05My family of three joined the tour. I was so excited that I went with marine shoes, but I took them off before entering the mangroves, so I didn't need them. The sand felt so good when I stepped on it with my bare feet, and the time passed quickly while I was absorbed in walking around the mud flats. My son was delighted to see shellfish, crabs, small fish, and many other creatures! The guide's stories also taught us a lot, and although my son is a bit timid, it was a valuable opportunity for him to try holding a crab for the first time and to feel more than what he learns from the textbook for his 3rd grade science class. He said it was the most enjoyable activity of the trip to Kohama Island. I would like to participate again, as it seems that there is something new to discover every time we go there because of the nature we are dealing with.

520代Month of posting: 2022/05We joined the mangrove walking tour in the afternoon. We booked the tour the day before, but they were very courteous and helpful, I was able to join the tour. The tour walked through the mangrove forest on the west side of Kohama Island, The tour was a 60-90 minute walk through the mangrove forest west of Kohama Island, then out to the ocean to walk on the mangrove mudflats. I think the walk took about 60-90 minutes. It was interesting and passed in an instant. While looking at the various creatures of the mudflats and mangroves, We were given explanations about the creatures and the environment. There are various types of mangroves, and we learned about their different survival strategies and how they support each other, We enjoyed learning about their different survival strategies and how they live by supporting each other. I also enjoyed that the guide caught and showed us a slightly larger blue crab, It was also fun that the guide caught and showed us a slightly larger crayfish. We walked barefoot in the mud, It felt good because the mud was smooth and silky. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who likes living things and wants to feel the nature in its rawest form. I would definitely recommend this tour to those who love living things and want to feel the nature.

560代Month of posting: 2021/08I had experienced mangrove canoeing in Iriomote Island, but I signed up for this tour because I could explore the mud flats. We could observe the mangroves even closer than on the canoe tour, and we could see various creatures such as crabs and fish. It was good that I was not physically tired at all and could enjoy the tour.
