Q. What do you do with the fish you catch?

It is possible to eat at a tavern in Kohama Island at dinner time!

Reservations are difficult to obtain during peak season, so please make your own reservations and confirm in advance whether or not you can bring your own fish. The captain will deliver the fish to your designated tavern after the tour.

We refrain from over-keeping to protect future fish and resources. We appreciate your cooperation.

Q. Are there toilets on the ship?

Restrooms are available for women and children.

I was a complete beginner at fishing, but the fact that I could just show up empty-handed and go was so appealing! Thanks to the captain, who kindly taught me everything from how to use bait to how to cast lures, I caught fish one after another in the beautiful coral-filled sea—it was so much fun I couldn’t help but get really excited♪ The fact that they cook the fresh, flopping fish you just caught for you at an izakaya that very night is absolutely the best☆ It’ll be the highlight of your trip to Kohama Island, so everyone should definitely give it a try!

The fact that you can participate without any equipment is a big advantage since you can borrow a complete set of tools. I also enjoyed lure fishing on the coral reef. I participated in this tour with my third grader, my oldest son, and my wife. All of us were new to lure fishing, but the captain carefully taught us from the beginning and we all enjoyed the experience. All three of us caught many fish except me. I didn't expect to catch any fish, but I was happy because my children caught a lot of fish and were happy. He took lots of pictures of our catch and shared them with us on Airdrop before we disembarked. The captain also contacted the island's tavern directly and we were able to have four of the fish we caught for dinner. Boiled fish, sashimi, and fried fish were all delicious, and it was a great food education experience for the kids. I highly recommend this tour.
