Deep Kohama Island Walking Tour

Kohama Island is located in the center of the Yaeyama Islands, about 25 minutes by ferry from Ishigaki Island. It has a laid-back atmosphere.This tour allows visitors to experience the culture, nature, animals and scenery while exploring the island of Kohama.

The tour will be conducted by car, basically in pairs. We will move at your pace, so even those who are not confident in their physical strength can participate without worry!

Kohama Island is home to "Ufudaki," which is designated as a national park, as well as the banyan tree, a natural monument designated by Taketomi Town, the landscape of sugarcane fields, and a rich variety of animals such as black cattle, goats, horses, peacocks, and kuina (birds).

Visitors can experience the richness of nature and ecosystems, learn about life on the islands, and experience the daily lives of the islanders (shimanchu).

Luggage can be left in the guide's car (or on the boat). Please take care of your valuables by yourself. (In some cases, we may ask you to leave your luggage at the front desk of your hotel.)

*If you are coming to Kohama Port from a hotel on Kohama Island, you may be asked to meet the hotel's free shuttle bus.(We will call you around the evening of the day before to confirm your reservation. We will give you more details at that time.)

*If you are coming from Ishigaki Island, please take the ferry to Kohama Island.
