Kohama Island Cruising

Since we had the boat all to ourselves in the afternoon, we were able to relax at the hotel in the morning, which made for a very efficient itinerary. We were able to enjoy the ocean as a family, and I felt it was a great value for the money. However, the shaded area on the boat was a bit small, so I think it’s best to make sure you’re well-prepared with sunscreen and other sun protection measures.

For our anniversary trip with my wife, we took the plunge and booked a private boat charter. We were able to request only the spots we wanted to visit, and spending that luxurious time just the two of us without worrying about anyone else was an absolutely wonderful memory. We thoroughly enjoyed a leisurely time gazing out at the beautiful ocean off Kohama Island, and we’re also grateful for the staff’s thoughtful attention to detail.

I used this as a charter plan that allowed me to join in the afternoon. Since it’s a private charter, it offers a lot of freedom, but the facilities felt a bit dated. I enjoyed my time out on the water, but it wasn’t particularly memorable; I’d say it was worth the price.

The sunset we saw after landing on the “Phantom Island” was absolutely stunning, and we had a truly fulfilling time. There are no age restrictions, and you can participate without bringing anything, so it’s very convenient. If I had to mention one thing, the footing was a bit unstable when boarding and disembarking the boat, so I felt it would have been helpful if there had been a bit more advance warning about that.

They said it was okay even for beginners, but there were some waves, so it was hard to keep my balance. I managed to stay standing, but I didn’t really have the chance to enjoy the view. The sunset itself was beautiful, so I wish I could have gone on a day when the waves were a little calmer.

Since it was a private charter, I felt it offered great value for the money because we could relax freely without worrying about others around us. The afternoon departure also worked out well for our schedule, as it allowed us to spend the morning at a leisurely pace. However, the shaded area on board was a bit small, so you should make sure to bring plenty of sunscreen. Overall, I was satisfied with the experience.
