What is Yonara Channel?
Yonara Channel is located between Iriomote Island and Kohama Island.
Located on the edge of Ishinishi lagoon, the largest coral reef area in Japan, it is also known locally as Yunaradu (Yonaradu).
The Yonara Channel is also known as Manta Way, where you can see the Southern Crested Rays.
It is also known as a spawning area for the Sakkimybai, and from April to May, fishing is prohibited and diving vessels are prohibited from anchoring.

Yonara Channel is famous as a manta ray spot and is a favorite spot for divers.
Yonara Channel is known as a dive site for intermediate to advanced divers because it is vulnerable to northerly winds and has deep water.
